Anton Mesmer was the most public, visible and
successful healer since Jesus Christ walked the
planet. Mesmer made a huge splash in Paris in the
late 18th century. Mesmeromania reigned for over ten
years as he sought to teach professionals and laymen
how to lift, aid and heal their fellows at close
hand. Eventually, he formed Societies of Harmony
which spread through Europe and even unto the New
World.
But, professional jealousies and scientific materialism as well as political turmoil and the French Revolution caused his work to fade away. Nonetheless, numerous notables in France and England followed his lead to teach and demonstrate "animal magnetism." The threads of their work can be recognized in the likes of osteopathy developed by Andrew Taylor Still and of chiropractic spawned by Daniel Palmer. Secrets of Magicians and Mystics
Universal Health Care – the original name for this site – is simple as the concept of that term as it is bandied about freely. But, we clearly do not have it for several reasons. What we generally understand by those words is far from simple to put into action. It is not practiced – for sure. Practice has other implications – as the reader might surmise. Over the ages, society has created a medical system to deal with human ills and injuries. But, the system and practice are largely ineffective but expensive, redundant and wasteful. It is also causative of many ill and even dangerous effects like hospital-acquired infections and adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in huge numbers. On the other hand, it is possible for Universal Health Care to exist and function in our midst – believe it or not – without professional medical practitioners in charge. Universal Health Care can be applied, shared, and offered by ANYONE and EVERYONE who “cares” to the sick or injured. When this writer grew up, Mother was the natural healer in our family and she kept us away from doctors and clinics in all but very rare occasions. Healing can move through all our hands and hearts and souls to others. Access to communion with God has been returned from priests and ministers to all who ask and seek over recent generations. So too the responsibilities and opportunities for healing can be handed back to you and me and everyone who really CARES. That is true because healing is a subtle, magical and universal process. “The world is full of

Amazingly, we experience magic constantly without realizing the true state of things. The arising of a seed into a plant is magic and akin to the gestation of a human egg into the birth of a body. Both are in fact the manifestation of soul essences in the outer world. DNA, genes, and chromosomes are in fact “frosting on the cake.” Magick covers a vast spectrum of subtle but profound functions which occur in and around us constantly. We can learn to consciously cooperate and even magnify them. True healing then is a subtle Magical process. But, it is far less common than we wish it to be, because we seek it all too often through quick fixes – pills and knives. Magick itself needs Healing attention. Magick has for far too long had a bad name. Our understanding and awareness of Magick need to be made whole – honorable and holy. This is another goal of this website. |
